What sets the Stars Ice Academy apart from a traditional cyber school experience is the structure and support provided by the Academy environment and the Academic Coordinator.

The Stars Ice Academy has multiple educational partnerships that connects our skaters to a Public Cyber School to complete their education. The Public Cyber Schools provide all learning materials, teachers, and a complete education.

A common concern among parents with traditional cyber school is that their students will not be held accountable to complete their academics to their fullest potential, either placing that burden on the parents themselves or resulting in a less-than-satisfactory academic career for their students.

At SIA, each student develops a plan to achieve their goals alongside the Academic Coordinator, their parents, and their cyber school educators. They are then held accountable to reach these goals while at the Academy. Additionally, the burden of ensuring all schoolwork gets completed doesn't fall on the parents, but on the Academic Coordinator, who keeps a detailed record of all student assignments and their completion.

At SIA, students are enabled to pursue their figure skating careers by the flexibility of cyber school, but don't lose any of the accountability that a traditional school environment offers. If anything, they are more inspired, motivated, and responsible than they would be as traditional students.
